HEY THERE!

I’m so glad you stopped by.
I’m The Corporate Bestie, or Elizabeth Taylor,
the face behind Corporate Bestie.

People development is in my soul

Witnessing someone’s a-ha moment is like an instant joy boost for me every time I see it.

With over 20 years working in a commercial setting, I develop authentic and effective leaders to help shift the narrative on what it means to work in a corporate environment.

My corporate adventure kicked off when I was just 16, with my very first job at Starbucks. That’s where I found my love for training people—whether it was perfecting a cappuccino or delivering top-notch customer service.

I believe in making a difference and wanted to become a teacher, helping students reach their potential by leading by example, asking great questions, and letting them be their true selves.

After a year of juggling teaching and slinging lattes, a new opportunity came my way—a 9-5 job. It meant no more nights and weekends, I could pay the mortgage with 1 paycheck instead of two, and I could finally enjoy holidays again!

This job gave me a chance to reinvent my career and figure out how I wanted to make an impact in the corporate world. Within three years, I was back in my element in a learning and development role. I worked on a sales enablement team, creating training programs for new sales pros and a global sales audience, helping them get the skills they needed to succeed.

Over the past 10+ years, I’ve been immersing myself in corporate L&D. Here’s my highlights reel:

^

Conducted several needs assessments to identify where the business is strong and where there are opportunities for further development

^

Built and led three versions of new hire onboarding programs reaching over 100 new hires annually

^

Developed and executed countless seller skill programs with topics including LinkedIn branding, effective meeting facilitation, social selling, program management, and many more reaching over reaching nearly 1,000 outstanding professionals

^

Launched a leadership development program for individual contributors with a satisfaction rate of 96%

^

Supported change management efforts including an organizational reorg reaching nearly 200 employees

^

Designed and executed the learning strategy for a global CRM overhaul reaching over 4000 global associates in 20+ countries and across multiple languages

What else?

I’ve also organized and supported sales meeting events, organizational employee engagement initiatives, earned three promotions, and navigated a pandemic. I received a Master’s in Adult Learning and Leadership Development along the way, too!

Why I’m Passionate About Leadership Development

9

We are used to seeing systems win, and I want to see the people win. Organizations rely on the high performing, rising talent and front-line leaders to keep strategy, dollars, and culture moving forward. The reality is, culture eats strategy for breakfast, and no organization will be successful unless their people want to be a part of it.

What Inspires Me

Helping others tap into their potential is what truly inspires me. I love when people walk away from our conversations, trainings, or coaching sessions with a new perspective or a fresh idea on how to do something differently. Seeing others feel inspired fuels my passion to find more ways to be helpful. I thrive on being in service to others and making a positive impact in any way I can.

Who Am I Otherwise?

Outside of work, I’m a proud wife to my amazing husband, Zach, and a dog mom to our lovable pup, Bruce. They are my perfect little family. I get my work ethic and sense of empathy from my blue-collar dad, my outgoing nature and thick skin from my bus driver mom, and my sense of humor and title of the fun aunt from my two brothers.

My favorite “take it all in” moments in life include going to the beach, savoring an excellent dirty martini, enjoying a fantastic meal with people I love, and sharing out-of-this-world belly laughs that fill the soul.
